Executive Kickstart

Your leadership team walks in with a strategy. It walks out with the OKRs that carry it into the next quarter, and a named owner for every key result.

One to two days, on site or live online. Built for sponsors who are convinced and leadership teams who have days, not weeks. Three check-ins over the following 90 days make sure the draft becomes a habit.

Is This For You

The Sponsor Has Read the Book, Now the Team Has to Write the OKRs

Check the four conditions on the left. If one does not apply, the program on the right will likely fit better.

The right program if
Your CEO or managing director wants OKRs and will be in the room
You have a strategy, even a rough one, and need it turned into quarterly priorities
The leadership team can give one or two full days, not five weeks of workshops
You want to start at the top and cascade later, once leadership has lived one cycle
Choose another program if
You need OKRs written with every department in the same quarter 90-Day Execution Sprint
You want a group of champions trained and certified to run OKRs themselves In-House Cohort
You already run OKRs and they have stopped working Start with the OKR health check
Agenda

From Strategy to Owned Key Results

The work starts before day one, so the room is spent deciding, not explaining.

WhenWhat happens
Weeks -3 to 1

Before the room

  • 30-minute interview with each leader
  • We read your strategy, last year's goals and current KPIs
  • A 45-minute primer video, so nobody arrives cold
  • A readout of where the team already agrees and where it does not
Day 1

Decide what matters this quarter

  • Strategy to three to five objectives
  • What you will stop doing to make room
  • First draft of key results for each objective
  • Sorting the list: key result, KPI or project
Day 2

Make it run without us

  • Stress-test every key result: baseline, target, owner
  • Agree scoring rules and the weekly check-in
  • Rehearse the first check-in, live
  • Plan the cascade to the next level of teams
Days 30, 60, 90

Three check-ins

  • Day 30: are the key results measurable and moving?
  • Day 60: mid-quarter scoring, blockers, what to drop
  • Day 90: final score, retrospective, next quarter's draft

What You Leave With

Six Things on the Table When the Room Empties

Everything is written by your team, in your words. We facilitate and challenge; we do not hand you a template with your logo on it.

01

A drafted leadership OKR set

Three to five objectives, each with two to four key results.

02

A named owner per key result

One person, not a department. Agreed in the room.

03

A one-page cadence

Weekly check-in, monthly review, quarterly scoring. Who, when, how long.

04

KPIs and OKRs separated

Your scorecard stays. OKRs cover what has to change, not what has to be kept.

05

A cascade plan

Which teams write OKRs next quarter, and who coaches them.

06

A written session report

Decisions, open questions and the draft set, within three business days.

What We Need From You

If the CEO Cannot Attend Day One, We Move the Date

OKRs written without the person who sets priorities get rewritten the following month. We would rather start two weeks later than start twice.

The CEO or managing director, present for the full session
About 90 minutes of pre-work per leader: the interview and the primer
Your current strategy document and KPI scorecard, under NDA
Phones out of the room, or cameras on and notifications off online
One internal OKR coordinator who owns the cadence after we leave

"A book merely won't help us do what we intend to do."

Questions

What Leadership Teams Ask Us First

Short answers to the questions that come up on most scoping calls. Anything else, ask us on the call.

For up to 12 leaders with a clear strategy, yes. You leave with a draft, not a final set, and the day-30 check-in is where it gets tightened. Larger or less aligned teams should take two days.
No. The primer covers what your team needs in 45 minutes. The session is for writing OKRs, not learning the theory.
On site, when you can. The hard conversations about what to stop happen faster in a room. Online works well for teams already used to deciding on video, split into shorter blocks.
Often, if the first attempt skipped the leadership team. Run the free OKR health check first; it tells you whether to restart at the top or fix the cadence you already have.
None to start. A shared sheet runs the first quarter. If you already use an OKR tool, we set up the draft in it during check-in one.
Your coordinator runs the next quarter. Most teams then cascade to departments through the 90-Day Execution Sprint, or certify more champions through an In-House Cohort.
